50 g golden caster sugar
½ vanilla bean
200 g cold unsalted butter, cubed
380 g plain flour
ice-cold water, as needed
Place sugar and vanilla bean into Thermomix bowl and mill 10 sec/speed 10. Add butter and flour and mix 10 sec/speed 6 until resembles breadcrumbs.
- Add water through hole in lid while you continue to mix 10 sec/Interval speed. As soon as the dough starts to form a ball, stop and remove pastry from bowl onto lightly floured baking mat or board. Roll and use as directed in a recipe.
