Vanilla Strawberry Jam (Thermomix)

Vanilla Strawberry Jam (Thermomix)
Cook: 70 Minutes - easy - Makes 800g - Vegetarian - Vegan - gluten-free - nut-free - dairy-free - egg-free - pregnancy-safe

You don’t have to search country fetes for the best homemade jam – we’ve got the recipe for you! Spread it on your morning toast, use it in a Victoria sponge, or seal it up in a cute jar for a thoughtful edible gift.

Ingredients

400 g fresh strawberries, or frozen

200 g caster sugar

1 green apple, quartered, skin on

1 vanilla bean, cut into pieces

Method

  1. Place all ingredients into TM bowl Thermomix bowl and cook for 35 min/Varoma/speed 1 with simmering basket on top of lid in place of the MC.
  2. Check the consistency of the jam by placing a spoonful onto a chilled plate. If it wrinkles up when pushed, the jam is ready. If not, continue to cook 10 min/Varoma/speed 1 checking after each time period, up to 30 minutes more, until it has reached the desired consistency.
  3. Pour into hot sterilised jars and seal.
