As per The Vegan Society, veganism is defined as: “[A] philosophy and way of living which seeks to exclude – as far as is possible and practicable – all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose; and by extension, promotes the development and use of animal-free alternatives for the benefit of humans, animals and the environment. In dietary terms, it denotes the practice of dispensing with all products derived wholly or partly from animals.”
One of the biggest stigmas around the vegan diet was that for men in particular it was almost impossible to eat enough protein. That myth has been obliterated with new celebrities announcing their transition to a plant-based diet daily. Take Game Changers for example, the new Netflix documentary which showcases elite athletes and celebrities like James Cameron, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jackie Chan, Lewis Hamilton, Novak Djokovic, and Chris Paul all who have made the switch to the green stuff full time.
