Police are currently hunting a woman who was caught on CCTV footage stealing more than $1100 in toilet paper and vodka.
Authorities allege 31-year-old Jana Snowden loaded 21 bottles of vodka and another five cases of toilet paper into her shopping trolley, making a run for it without paying for her haul.
The offence took place in Walmart in the Louisiana, US, town of Gonzales - leading police to release images of the wanted woman.
But while authorities are busy hunting down the vodka and toilet paper thief, the shopper’s unusual list of shopping items have attracted a lot of attention on social media.
The crime has seen the hashtag #toiletpaperthief start trending, and a wave of comments trying to work out why she chose those two items to steal.
‘Odd combo of stolen merchandise, unless the vodka causes her problems ...’ said one Twitter user. Said another: ‘That’s gonna be one heck of a party!’
Added a third: ‘At least steal the GOOD Toilet paper instead of the Rough kind..’
Said another: ‘Cops hunt woman who stole $800 worth of vodka & toilet paper from Walmart ... Yes, that would be a good band name.’
