Meghan Markle was DESPERATE for a home birth

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced the arrival of their new baby in Windsor on Monday, but they have been keeping remarkably quiet about the details surrounding the birth.

Ahead of the birth, there was talk that Meghan favoured a home birth at their Frogmore Cottage home, and although details are still unconfirmed, there have been hints that Meghan gave birth at home as planned.

The statement released by the royal family made it clear that Meghan’s mum, Doria Ragland was “with Their Royal Highnesses at Frogmore Cottage,” leading many royal watchers to believe the birth took place there.

When new dad Harry announced the news of the birth, his interview took place on the grounds of Windsor Castle, moments from their home.

The lack of a doctor’s signature on the official easel announcement outside of Buckingham Palace – something that appeared on the announcements of Kate Middleton’s three children – also set tongues wagging that it could point to a home birth.

Alternative theories have sprung up, with reports that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex may have been taken to the private Portland Hospital in London on Sunday night yet to be confirmed.
