She’s one of the funniest actresses in Hollywood - and, it seems, one of the most generous!
Melissa McCarthy managed to smuggle 40 ham and cheese baguettes into yesterday’s Golden Globes awards to feed hungry stars who’d missed out on dinner.
You see while the big names walk to red carpet at the Golden Globes, dinner is being served inside the venue - which means the majority of them miss out, and are forced to sit through the verrrrrryyyyyy long show with no food.
That’s when Melissa and her husband, fellow actor Dan Falcone, had the idea to smuggle in the haul of sandwiches to hand out to the famished A-listers.
While it’s unclear HOW they managed to bring in the esky of sandwiches and hand them out without being detected on camera, it’s clear they were a big hit!
Actress Jessica Chastain told Variety that ‘it’s a good idea because by the time you get into the ballroom dinner has already been served, and you’re always so hungry.’
Golden Globe winner Olivia Coleman even mentioned the sandwiches onstage, calling Melissa’s gesture ‘amazing.’
Ben revealed the sandwiches they smuggled in on his Instagram page, while Melissa later said she was going to 'bring hot dogs next year.' Let’s just hope she serves onions underneath the sausage, right...?!
