She writes: ‘Taco cups were a hit with the family last night!
‘For the base I used wonton wrappers - 2 per base obviously placed different ways to get the 8 points.
‘The filling was just mince with onion, some corn kernels and taco seasoning - I only used half a packet to mine and kids taste. Cooked all together then let cool.
‘Once cooled heated pie maker up placed won ton wrappers in placed mixture in topped with grated cheese. Closed lid and cooked. They did take a while for won ton wrappers to cook through maybe 8-10 mins - but so worth it!
‘Smashed avocado, sour cream and sweet chilli on top to serve. Enjoy!’
Love it! Another member Sue also posted her cracking recipe, writing: ‘OMG! Thank you to whoever posted the Taco Pies idea ... They were fantastic.
She added: ‘I used puff pastry for base and top. Just bought ordinary taco mince mix, cooked it up first, then made the pies and topped them with lettuce, cherry tomatoes, onion, avocado, cheese, sour cream and the medium taco salsa.’
YUM! The pies have gone down a treat with the group’s other pie maker fans, who have all been hit with taco pie mania.
‘These are my new favourite pies,’ wrote one. Added another: ‘Kids have been asking for these every night - so good.’
Said a third: ‘Obsessed with these!’
