Wisdom teeth
Aptly named wisdom teeth, are the last molars to come through. They generally appear in young adults aged 15 to 25 years old. For some people, their wisdom teeth emerge perfectly straight and relatively pain-free. For others, they only partially emerge, come through on odd angles and can compromise the position of the rest of the teeth in your jaw. If left alone this will in most cases lead to tooth decay, infection and gum issues which is why most people will get their wisdom teeth removed.
What to eat after
To avoid infection and keep your energy levels up, these are some of the soft foods that are often recommended.
- Smoothies and milkshakes
- Oatmeal
- Yoghurt
- Blended Soups
- Ice Cream
- Jelly
- Mashed potato
