EARLIER: As Lion King Ooshies fever sweeps Australia, customers around the country are desperate to get their hands on the whole set of Woolworths collectables - and the collector cases.
But one irate shopper has taken to Facebook to voice her concern after watching one ‘selfish’ customer wipe one Woolworths store out of all their Lion King Ooshie Collector Cases.
Posting a photo of the incident to Woolworths’ Facebook page, Adelaide shopper Shelby questioned whether a staff member should’ve stepped in to stop the ‘disgusting’ sale.
Writes shopper Shelby: ‘Just witnessed this now leaving our local Hilton Woolies. One person just up and bought all of the Lion King Ooshies collector boxes and not one staff member thought to stop them. Should this really be allowed?
‘Most families buy these for their children’s happiness, and here we have someone buying them more than likely to scalp online. 😕
‘We were lucky to get ours before this selfish person nabbed them all. Literally all of them.’
Shelby went on to add: ‘I'd just rather collectable things like this that are intended for the enjoyment of children not be exploited as a dodgy cash grab.
‘Families can't afford the inflated online cost by scalpers, these boxes are sold cheap for a reason, and this really betrays the whole concept and fun of it all.’
