3. Should I write a list?
Yes! That's the number one piece of advice from fans who’ve been to previous collectable swap days. ‘When you’re there, it’s easy to get caught up in the excitement and forget what you came there for!’ said one fan. ‘I suggest writing two lists - one with which Ooshies you need to complete your collection and another with which ones you’re willing to swap.
‘Then you can have everything written down and you hopefully won’t go home disappointed!’
4. Should I bring anything?
Fans also suggest taking two bags. ‘Put all the Ooshies you’re happy to swap in one bag and leave the other one empty for the Ooshies you’ve swapped and want to keep,’ says the collector. ‘That means you won’t get any of your Ooshies muddled up!’
5. Is there anything I should be wary of?
Collectors who’ve been to Swap Days in the past say it’s a good idea for adults to carry their kids bags of Ooshies if they’re with little ones. Said one fan on social media: ‘Some people are great, generous and friendly others can be rude and pushy. From past experience have the adult hold onto the Ooshies as some people can literally grab them off your kids or try to get them to give it to them. Generally though the trade days are good fun.’
6. Do people swap unopened Ooshies?
No, the Swap Day is for opened Ooshie packets. The idea is that collectors can swap any Ooshies they have doubles, triples or more of for ones they’re missing from their collections. And don’t forget, there are still PLENTY of the rare Furry Simbas to collect! While several have hit social media and eBay for sell, fans estimate there are still half of the 100 Furry Simba Ooshies available to collect.
Good luck! And don't forget - have fun!
