It's understood that Woolworths team members may only wear blue detectable bandaids when preparing food and serving customers at the deli counter, with a Woolies spokesperson sconfirming that they have strict food handling procedures.
'We’ve seen the customer report and will look into it with the store team,' the spokesperson said.
'We have strict food handling procedures in place for our team members when they prepare hot roast chickens in store.
'Our team members must wear disposable gloves and aprons and use tongs to transport chickens to and from the oven and into their tamper proof packaging.
'Roast chickens are also checked multiple times for any potential foreign objects during the preparation process before they’re cleared to go on display to our customers.'
