We’re always here for delicious burgers, whether made at home using Foodiful recipes or while dining out. There’s something extremely satisfying about a burger, and most Aussies agree – shown by the massive hour-long queues each time cult US burger chain In-N-Out burger have pop-up stores.
Yesterday, Macca’s mysteriously invited 100 people to outside their Circular Quay store for a taste-testing of an exclusive new burger. All guests were asked to sign a confidentiality agreement and leave their mobile phones at the door.
We can now reveal that from 10:30am today, Aussies can get their hands on the new 100% Australian-bred wagyu beef burger – but only while stocks last.
The patty is served with crispy bacon strips, caramelised onion, tomato, lettuce, a slice of Coon cheese, and a specially created sauce between a fresh bun.
Director of Supply Chain at McDonald’s Australia, Robert Sexton, said, “at Macca’s we believe in the quality and taste of Australian produce, and we’re proud of our long history of supporting the Australian agriculture industry.”
Macca’s use local suppliers wherever possible, and Robert estimates that while this burger is on the menu they will purchase 280 metric tonnes of Wagyu beef from Queensland.
Get in quick, because this Gourmet Creations burger is only available nationwide while stocks last.
