‘This, my friends, is the next big thing in Christmas food - an easy and yummy dessert twist on the weird "Turducken" (duck in a turkey in a chicken in a pigeon in a camel thing that for some reason people seem to like.)
‘We made a Christmas Fruit Mince Piecaken and we think it rocks!’
That’s right - it’s basically a mince pie inside a cake. Get it?!
Making the PieCaken is actually REALLY easy and basically involves buying just TWO ingredients - a six-pack of Woolworths ready-made Mince Pies anda packet of Woolworths Vanilla Cake with Tray Kit.
You simply prepare the cake mix as per the packet instructions and then place a little of the mix at the bottom of a round, non-stick springform cake pan. You then place the six mince pies around the bottom, evenly spaced apart, and then pour the rest of the cake mix over the whole lot and bake in a 180c oven for 45 minutes.
Once it’s cooked, just pour custard over the whole lot and top with raspberries, then serve. Voila!
And while it’s a little weird, we have to admit it actually looks pretty damn yum and we can’t wait to try it ourselves! To see the full video instructions, click here!
