It’s long been known that oysters and even celery can have an aphrodisiac effect on many people.
But if you’re not a fan of the ‘snot of the sea’ and the idea of chomping through a bunch of celery doesn’t appeal, then chip company Tyrell’s has just the thing for you.
The UK company as released an ‘Aphrodisiac’ flavour of chips in the lead-up to Valentine’s Day, which promises ‘to get your pulses racing.’
The chips are flavoured with ‘honey and chilli’ - spice being a little known aphrodisiac - and could be just the thing to get you in the mood on February 14.
Sarah Lawson, Tyrrells Marketing Manager, tells Metro: ‘At Tyrrells, we’re always looking for ways to introduce new and different additions that bring our unique and often quirk personality to life.
‘Our new Honey and Chilli variety has an extra special place in our hearts as it is the first crisp with aphrodisiac properties that’s ever been created.’

The chips are currently on sale in the UK, but there’s every chance the limited edition flavour could make it to Aussie shores in time for Valentine’s Day. Watch this space!
